Colrain Central School
Colrain Central School is a small, rural school nestled in the hills along the picturesque North River, serving students from preschool through sixth grade. At Colrain Central, we train tomorrow’s leaders today by adhering to and holding our school community accountable to high academic and social standards.
We Welcome You!
As we look out the windows of our school, we see the stunning countryside in which we are so blessed to be learning. As we look around inside our building, we see remarkable, caring students and staff members who are earnest about their education.
Colrain Central School in the Mohawk Trail Regional School District is committed to ensuring the physical and emotional safety of all members of our school learning community. We promote an understanding of diversity, multiculturalism, social justice, and equity to ensure a safe learning environment for all. The district complies with all state and federal civil rights and anti-discrimination laws relating to educational programs, other student activities, and employment practices. We promote positive experiences for our students and staff, all of whom have differing personal and family characteristics and who come from various socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic groups. We support each student’s right to access education by preventing and responding effectively to any acts of discrimination.
At Colrain Central School, we actively look for ways to incorporate our community into our learning. We strive to become better connected to the roots of our town, knowing that those who have gone before us have much to teach us. We also make every effort to recognize that the world is much bigger than our town and there is much to be gained through the exploration of it. We practice a service learning model where we work with community partners to solve problems. We welcome you to come check us out….Colrain Central School where we learn by serving.
Warmest Regards,
